The Double Suction Pumps (Also known as Split case pumps) are used to transport pure water and non-corrosive (or weakly corrosive) liquids and the liquid of both physical and chemical nature similar to those of water, the maximum temperature of which must not be over 80 ,suitable for water supply and drainage in factories, mines, cities and electric stations, waterlogged land drainage and irrigation of farming land and carious hydraulic projects.

Features

• The Double Suction Pumps body and the pump cover are made of cast iron, which together form the working chamber of the impeller. There are pipe screw holes for the pressure gauge and vacuum gauge on the inlet and outlet flanges of the pump body. At the lowest point of the pipe diameter, there is a pipe screw hole for discharging water

• Double-side inflow impeller,its shape is symmetrical, and it is tested by static balance at the factory.

• Durable, low noise, long life bearing,The structure of this series of pumps adopts rolling bearing (caliber 150mm-500mm) and is lubricated with butter.

• Premium quality mechanical seal,Shaft seal: The shaft seal of the Double Suction Pumps is composed of packing chamber, packing ring, packing gland, packing sleeve, packing and shaft sleeve.

•Split case pumps with caliber ≥350, water filter is mounted at the end of the suction pipe.Before start up the pump,use a vacuum pump to draw the water. Therefore, two sets of exhaust pipes are installed in the upper part of the Double Suction Pumps cover, and a small check valve is connected in series in the pipe. A small check valve is used to prevent high pressure water from flowing back into the low pressure zone during normal pump operation.

Design Features

>>Axially Double Suction Pumps casing

The casing is axially split, the inline suction and the discharge nozzles are in lower half casing,  these design makes it's easy to remove the upper casing and rotary components without disturbing the motor and the pipework.

>>Dual Volute Casing 

Split case pumps generating high heads have dual volutes to reduce radial forces, ensuring minimal shaft deflection and low bearing loads.

>>Between bearing design

Less shaft deflection due to the between-bearing design. 

>>Wear Rings 

Easily replaceable casing wear rings, protect the pump casing from the abrasion of impeller. Overall cost of operation is minimized.

>>Sealing Flexibility 

Double Suction Pumps can be sealed by gland packing or wide range of mechanical seals.
