I have received one requiry from my client. He required that the NPSHr of horizontal chemical pump is 1.6 m. However, our engineer had select one pump model based on his pump flow and head mainly, whose NPSHr is 2.2 m which is higher than my client's requirement. Usually, we select the pump model according pump flow and head and we can recommend the NPSHr. But considering his NPSHa, we select other pump type based on his liquid.
